Entonces sus padres salieron de los refugios cercanos y les gritaron que volvieran al trabajo.<\/p>\n              <p>Recuerdo haber salido de aquel lugar con una tristeza profunda que nunca antes hab\u00eda sentido. Fue la primera vez que fui testigo de c\u00f3mo se arrancaba a unos ni\u00f1os de su estado natural de juego, seguridad e inocencia, para forzarlos a sobrevivir. The book gave language and structure to what I had been witnessing in Cambodia. It helped me understand the importance of recognizing and regulating emotions, cultivating empathy, and building relationships that allow both children and adults to feel safe, connected, and supported.<\/p>\n              <p>After completing my Master's degree, I interned at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, where I initiated and coordinated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/collection\/59098\/10892\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">la primera Conferencia de la ONU sobre Inteligencia Emocional<\/a>. El modelo combinaba seguimientos estructurados, clasificaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida de casos, apoyo emocional, seguimiento familiar e intervenciones basadas en las relaciones. Alcanz\u00f3 una retenci\u00f3n del 98,94 % en las clases piloto, frente al 95,29 % en las no piloto, y mejor\u00f3 la asistencia entre el alumnado de mayor edad. I like to apply emotional intelligence, emotion coaching, and Nonviolent Communication not as abstract concepts, but as practical safeguarding tools. They help educators build safe relationships, support students in naming and regulating emotions, identify emotional abuse and relational breakdown before they escalate, and embed trauma-informed practices into daily school life.<\/p>\n              <p>I also believe dropout is an emotional reaction to a difficult situation \u2014 an unhealthy solution to something that happened to the child, and one that can be actively prevented. This is why, through The Emotional Safety Framework, my work is rooted in one conviction: children stay where they feel safe.<\/p>\n              <p>By strengthening the relationships, environments and systems around children, we can make schools and child-facing organizations not only places of learning, but places of protection, healing, and possibility. This is how we reduce dropout. This is how we prevent harm.
